Stockton

Assistant Works Manager position available within a globally recognised company and growing company who offer job security within a DAYS based role.

To apply for the role, you must have previous experience in works management or production management. The role would suit applicants from a heavy industry background, ideally from aggregates, concrete or minerals processing. Applicants must have solid experience of coordinating and championing Health and Safety on site.

Reporting into the works manager, the role will primarily involve day to day coordination of a small production site. You will have 5 direct reports on site and be responsible for allocating their workload and planning production. You will be responsible for overseeing H&S to ensure that all operations activities are conducted in line with country, company and local safety, environment and quality procedures. Applicants with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are encouraged to apply. You will also be responsible for making process improvements across the site and improving site conditions.

The site is one of 9 manufacturing sites across the UK. This is a company who are willing to invest in the successful candidate to develop their skills. This is a varied role within a busy production environment.

The Role:

*Day to day coordination of a small but busy production site

*Production planning

*Overseeing a small team as well as managing their workload

*Health and Safety on site

*Continuous improvement projects

The Person:

*Previous work management/production management experience

*Proven supervisory experience

*Ideally transfer from a heavy industry background

*Applicants with IOSH or NEBOSH experience will have a considerable advantage

*Experience working with ISO9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Systems required

*Must be computer literate

*Experience and Knowledge of OEE
