Design Engineer (3D Modelling)
£30,000 to £45,000 Basic Salary + Pension + 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5.30pm, Friday 8am to 4pm
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established and reputable, forward thinking manufacturing company, who operate in a wide variety of sectors including Aerospace, Automation, F1, Oil & Gas, Medical etc. The company offer a position of responsibility where you will hold a critical role within the business.
The successful candidate will be a Mechanical Design Engineer with precision engineering experience working in the machine tool sector, candidates will need experience using any 2D and 3D CAD packages and will ideally have some knowledge of fixture and product design. You will be designing products to suit the companies manufacturing capability.
In this role you will be primarily using VISI (similar to Solidaworks/Inventor, although full training will be given) to produce concept designs and remodification of existing products, the company are both a standard and bespoke manufacturer so your role and products designed will be varied. You will also be expected to liaise and support the production department, customers and sales team, providing them with information and regular updates; there is also an element of upselling the product range. You will work in a small design team alongside another Design Engineer, Project Engineer, reporting into the company Works Manager/Director.
The company are a standard and bespoke manufacturer with a modern machine shop with mutli axis machining, 3D printing, Automatic and Robot loaded machines, they offer a role of responsibility where you will eventually be the go to person for technical design queries.
* Concept and remodification and concept design in 3D
* Using VISI to create graphic models and drawings.
* Customer and internal liaison
* Mechanical Design Engineer
* Experience working with machine tools, fixture design and precision engineering.
* Experience using any 3D CAD package
* Ideally have some knowledge of electrical/electronic engineering.
