Design Engineer (Mechatronic / Electronic)

Tredegar

£30,000 to £40,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension

Design Engineer required for a highly successful international medical devices company. This will be a varied and challenging role working on new product development projects. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business who are developing their new state of the art facility.

To apply for this role you will need 2D and 3D design experience on mechatronic, electronic or electrical products and will ideally hold a HND or degree (or equivalent) in a related subject. Mechanically biased candidates with experience on electronic products are encouraged to apply. Candidates from any industry background will be considered for this position however any experience working in a highly regulated industry would be advantageous.

Working within the R&D team, you will use Inventor to design and develop new products as well as managing updates to existing products. You will work alongside cross functional departments, including the manufacturing team, be involved with the selection of materials and work closely with the quality department with regards to product testing. Within the team, you will lead electrical and electronic product projects.

The Design Engineer role:

* Managing new medical device development projects and updating existing products using Inventor

* Execute design, product, process verification, test, and validation requirements in accordance with company Quality Management System

The Design Engineer:

* From design engineering background using 2D and 3D software

* Will ideally hold a degree, HND/HNC or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline
