EC&I Engineer (Project)
£41,350 to £48,320 DOE + 10% Bonus Scheme + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Contributory Pension Scheme (Up to 12%)
DAYS – 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday
Electrical Controls and Instrumentation engineer required for a project focused role within a leading global processing company. To apply for this role you will be a degree qualified EC&I engineer from a processing background. Candidates with experience working in a chemical, oil or gas background will hold a considerable advantage. You must have experience of DCS systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting site engineering projects focused on improvements to processes, procedures, performance and cost. You will work closely with equipment such as pressure vessels, pumps, rotating equipment and extruding equipment. On this equipment, you will be the onsite technical authority for high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems.
The processing site operates on a continuous basis however the company has quadrennial shut downs so you will be responsible for analysing all failure data and performing root cause analysis to determine what areas of the electrical, control and instrumentation systems need performance improvements during the point of shutdown. During this time, you will carry out maintenance and upgrades on equipment.
You could potentially be working on up to 20 projects in total including up to 8 smaller projects which you will personally drive. This will involve holding control over budgets and overseeing subcontractors.
