Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels)
£28,000 to £35,000 DOE (Negotiable) + 27 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + 6% Contributory Pension + Private Medical + Training and Development
Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:00, Friday 08:00 to 15:00
Electrical design engineer with experience designing control panels required for a multi award winning manufacturer who work within the nuclear industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical design engineer looking to join a company with a world wide presence who can offer future career development opportunities and training.
To apply for this role you will have experience designing electrical control panels using ANY CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical preferable). You can come from any background however candidates from the nuclear and/or oil and gas sector will hold an advantage. You will also ideally have a basic knowledge of PLC programming/modification however this is NOT essential and further programming/commissioning training can be provided. Graduates are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will work within the company’s design team made up of both electrically and mechanically biased engineers designing equipment mainly for the nuclear industry. The main focus of this role will be designing control panels using AutoCAD Electrical and MCCs fit for customer requirements for projects worth up to £20m. You will also be involved in PLC programming, working with brands such as Rockwell and Siemens.
You will be responsible for liaising directly with customers on their requirements as well as liaising with project engineers to ensure the project is being carried out on time and within budget. Where required, you will also play a key role in visiting customer sites to ensure that equipment passes tests and is commissioned correctly.
