Field Service Engineer (Gates)

Reading / Basingstoke

£30,000 to £34,000 + Overtime (Realistic OTE £36,000 to £40,000) + Van + Tools + Paid door to door travel + 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension


Field Service Engineer required for a successful, global manufacturing company. This is an opportunity to work within their gates division which is expending rapidly and hoping to double head count within the next couple of years. The business are extremely people focused and offer you the opportunity to train at their manufacturing site.


The successful candidate will be an electro-mechanical engineer and will ideally hold a 17th/18th edition. Experience of working within the gates industry is desirable, if you have experience of hydraulic operated machinery you are encouraged to make an application. Electrically you should have basic fault finding and general diagnostic skills.


In the role you will be working on entrance, access control and ancillary equipment. You will be accountable for service and improvements work across your allocated patch. You will be working from home travelling to commercial and industrial premises.


The company manufacture their own equipment and so you will benefit from OEM manufacturer training. When you initially join you will also have the opportunity to shadow one of the existing Engineers. As the gates division of the business grows in size there is the potential to progress through to management for the right person.

The role:

* Maintaining and upgrading entrance, access control and ancillary equipment

* Field Service Position covering the Reading/London patch

* Days role Monday to Friday with overtime available



The person:

* Electromechanical engineer

* Hold a 17th/18th edition

* Experience of working on ANY hydraulically operated equipment

* Ideally will have experience within the gate or power access sector
