Field Service Engineer (Laundry)


£30,900 to £35,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Company Pension + Company Vehicle (Can be used for personal use) + Call Out (1/4 Weekends – Paid at premium rates) + Private Medical

Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week

Field Service Engineer required for the market leading commercial laundry equipment service provider in the care home sector. This is a great opportunity to join a company with over 50 years of trading who can offer job security.

The successful Field Service Engineer will be confident both mechanically and electrically and will have experience with plumbing, gas and control systems. You will ideally have experience within the laundry industry, however, candidates with electro mechanics experience and have been customer facing are encouraged to apply. You will ideally be gas qualified, however, for the successful candidate this is something the company can provide.

The successful candidate will cover an approximately hour and a half radius of Reading. You will provide reactive and routine maintenance to both industrial and commercial laundry equipment for breakdowns at customer sites working to a target upwards of 80% first time fix. This will involve dead testing and carrying out isolation. You will work from home and will be required to be on call out stand by one in four weekends.

The Field Service Engineer Role:

* Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance
* Working within a 1.5 hour radius of Reading
* 1 in 4 weekends callout standby

The Field Service Engineer:

* Electromechanical experience
* Experience in any engineering/ machinery maintenance/ laundry environment.
* Work quickly to rectify breakdowns and work effectively to PPM schedules.
