DAYS BASED ROLE. Monday to Friday. 40 Hours Per Week
General Manager required for a leading UK distributor offering a role a high level of responsibility within a well-established company. They offer a great benefits package and role within the senior management team.
To apply for the role you must have previous experience of running a depot and ideally transfer from an FMCG background. Applicants must have experience of having full P&L responsibility for a site. Candidates with a NEBOSH qualification will have a considerable advantage.
The role will involve general management and overall operational responsibility for a large distribution site with 200 permanent employees, you will have 4 direct reports. The role is KPI focused to ensure the efficiency of the operation. You will be tasked with ensuring quality/quantity of output including order fill, stock presentation and timeliness of delivery in accordance to customer demand. You’ll ensure that the operation conforms to all budgetary, service, stock, stock integrity, health & safety and legal requirements. The role will occasionally require travel to other sites within the group. It is important that the successful candidate lead and develop their workforce to ensure an engaged and motivated management team.
