Graduate Design Engineer
£24,000 to £26,000 + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Training Opportunities
Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm.
Early Finish Friday’s, 4.00pm.
Graduate Design Engineer required for extremely well-established family run business who offer a varied role, with a great scope for professional development and external training courses.
The successful Graduate Design Engineer will have a relevant Degree n, you will be confident with mechanical design and will have some electrical design knowledge. Any previous experience or knowledge of designing Special Purpose Machinery, Mobile or Agricultural Machinery would be advantageous but this is not essential.
You will be working on your own individual projects, making sure products can be taken through the manufacturing process and ensuring projects can be delivered on time and within budget. You will be working on bespoke products that are supplied to the construction industry, this will involve working with customers and ensuring their needs are met. You will be responsible for re-modification and concept work, using 2D/3D AutoCAD software.

The Graduate Design Engineer:
*Full cradle to grave project management, liaising between clients, testing, suppliers and production.
*Designing products supplied to the construction industry.
*Occasional travel across the UK for supplier conventions or customer meets (2-3 times per year).
*Completing mechanical and electrical manufacturing drawings, for the production team.
*60% Conceptual design and 40% modification of existing products.
*Design and implementing transmission systems, engines, hydraulic systems, electrical circuits and electrical control systems.
*Fast moving environment within a varietal role, where priorities can change quickly.
The Successful Graduate Design Engineer:
*Holding a relevant Engineering Degree with Mechanical design proficiency and some electrical knowledge/experience.
*Confident working with both 2D & 3D AutoCAD packages, although other cad package experience will be useful.
