£50,000 to £60,000 + 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Bonus Scheme

Head of Operations required for an established, successful business who are enjoying continued growth and investment. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy an autonomous role where you will have the opportunity to make the site your own and benefit from a challenging and rewarding position.

The successful candidate will come from ANY plant or manufacturing background, those from recycling or waste management backgrounds will be at a strong advantage. A WAMITAB qualification is desirable but the investment and training will be made available to the successful individual. Candidates with demonstrable experience of managing projects from cradle to grave, reviewing shop floor layout and proven success implementing continuous improvement are invited to apply.

The company are in the process of upgrading the site and commissioning new machinery on site. You will working closely with the engineering team to integrate this equipment in the most effective and efficient manner. You will have overall accountability for shop floor activity, managing all operational management systems and ensuring best practice is adhered to; and ensuring Health and Safety standards are complied with at all times. The successful candidate will have a presence on the shop floor and oversee a team of 10, as the business grows this could expand to a team of 20.

As Head of Operations you will have budgetary control and improve the company’s profitability. This will include assisting in the purchasing of materials, inventory and stock control; as well as forecasting costs and production targets.
