Junior Service Engineer (Electrical Controls)

Bristol (20% Travel)

£24,000 to £30,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Private Medical Insurance + Critical Illness / Death in Service Insurance

Junior Service Engineer for a well-established company who are an internationally recognised leader in integrated technology solutions used within the construction industry. This is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to find a role within a company who can offer fantastic training and development opportunities and future scope to move into a senior position. This role would particularly suit service engineers looking to reduce the amount of time spent travelling.

The successful candidate will need an interest in and basic knowledge of electrical and controls engineering. Candidates from any service engineering background which has involved working with controls are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting customers in the installation of company products both on site and remotely. This will involve providing input into technical designs used to manufacture provided systems as well as installing electronic / electrical control systems and automation software on site, including set up, testing, and troubleshooting controls.

The successful candidate can expect to spend approximately 20% of their time travelling to customer sites both in the UK and internationally however you will also provide remote, telephone support to support diagnoses and repairs.

The Junior Service Engineer Role:

· Installation of electrical / electronic control systems and automation software – set up testing and troubleshooting
· Coordinate installation requirements with manufacturers, customers and subcontractors
· Mount components and terminate wiring within control panels
· Calibrate and commission systems
· Provide remote support via telephone
· Train customers on how to use technology
· 20% Travel
