Maintenance Electrician (DAYS)

Horncastle, Lincolnshire

£28,000 per annum + Rotating On Call rota ( 1 week in 5, evenings and weekends) + DIS benefit + 25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays.

Two shift rotating pattern; Monday to Thursday 6 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 10 pm; Friday 6 am to 11 am, 11 am to 4 pm (35 hours/wk).

Maintenance Electrician required for a successful packaging manufacturer. The role will appeal to those looking for a better work life balance with the security of joining a well established company.

The role will suit candidates with an electrical bias who have basic mechanical skills. Electrically, you must be comfortable with 3 phase, drives and motors, candidates who can fault find on PLCs will have a considerable advantage. Applicants don’t need to be from manufacturing to apply the role as those from industrial, service or similar engineering will also be considered.

The role will involve both reactive and pre planned maintenance on production machinery. You will work on a variety of printing, converting and electro mechanical packaging machinery. Breakdowns will naturally always take priority so you will be put on an on out of hours rota (10pm to 6am) approximately one week in five paid at premium rates. You will work alongside an established mechanical engineer on your shift.

The Role in brief:

The Engineer:

* Electrically qualified maintenance engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ C&Gs or equivalent).
* Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of 3 phase, DC Drives, inverters and PLCs is desired.
