Maintenance Engineer (Senior) role available for a market leading and successful manufacturing company. This role will appeal to maintenance engineers looking to make the step up into a leadership role or established supervisors looking to join a progressive business. The company offer leadership training through management coures and on the job training.
To apply for the role, candidates from all manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply, however you must possess a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering field. Candidates can be electrical or mechanical. Managerial/leadership experience is not necessary as the company is willing to provide training to develop the required skills.
Day to day, the successful person will be performing a range of tasks to ensure the department is running smoothly, and that the company’s machines are maintained and working. 70% of your time will be dedicated to ordering parts, booking contractors, assessing and actioning health and safety risks, participate in audits of the department, schedule and implement PPM rotas, organise project-based improvement work and be the main line of communication between the production and maintenance department. The remaining 30% will be assisting a small team of maintenance engineers in their day to day activities including working on mechanical (pneumatics, occasional hydraulics, gearboxes, conveyors and belts) and electrical (single phase, 3 phase, PLCs) issues.
The Role Itself:
*70% desk based, 30% hands on
*Ordering, scheduling PPM, auditing, H&S, point of communication between production and maintenance
*Single phase, 3 phase, PLCs
*Pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, conveyors, belts
*Shift is 1 week 6am to 12pm, week 2 2pm to 10pm and week 3 9pm to 7am (week you only work 4 days as opposed to 5)
