Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Buxton

Days Based 39 Hours per Week (More Hours Available)

Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 15:00. Friday - 06:00 -11:00 OR Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:30. Friday - 07:30 -12:30

Maintenance Engineer required for a heavy engineering company in the Buxton area. This is a great opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a growing company who can offer fantastic training and overtime opportunities within a days-based position.

Candidates will need to be a qualified electrician and can come from any background working with control circuits, PLCs, variable speed drives etc. You will need experience working in an industrial environment – manufacturing and/or heavy industry experience would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical fault finding and repair work on a range of production equipment. You will predominantly carry out preventative maintenance, however approximately 15% of your time will be spent carrying out reactive maintenance and installation work on exciting projects.

This is a great opportunity for an electrician to join an expanding business who can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work on a variation of equipment, further training and regular overtime.

The Maintenance Engineer Role:

· 100% electrical maintenance

· Working with motor control circuits, PLCs, variable speed drives

· 85% Preventative Maintenance, 15% Reactive Maintenance

· Install work when required

· Regular overtime available on Friday afternoons and Saturday

The Maintenance Engineer:

· Qualified electrician

· Experience working in an industrial environment
