Consett, County Durham

Circa £29,000 (£13.13ph + 12% Shift Allowance) + Competitive contributory pension + 23+8 days holiday

40 Hours Per Week Monday to Friday

Week 1 07:00 to 15:00 & Week 2 15:00 to 00:00 (paid at premium rate £14.71)

Maintenance engineer with an electrical bias required for a leading manufacturer in the County Durham area. This is a great opportunity to work for a company that can offer a days based position within a well established team. This is a role where no two days are the same and you will work within a friendly team.

The successful candidate will be a multiskilled maintenance engineer from ANY manufacturing background. You MUST hold an electrical qualification, 17th edition or above, and have experience fault finding and interrogating PLC equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a range of production equipment from grinding and cutting machines. Mechanically, you will work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and electrically you will work with automated, PLC driven, equipment and 3 phase electrics.

Your role will be split fairly evenly between reactive and preventative maintenance but you will also be given the opportunity to get involved in project work as the company push to improve processes and focus more on preventative maintenance.
