The Maintenance Fitter role will suit a candidate from any manufacturing background with strong mechanical skills. Previous experience on hydraulics and pneumatics is needed for the role. Basic electrical skills are also a requirement. Candidates will also ideally hold a mechanical qualification.
The Maintenance Fitter role involves repair of food manufacturing machinery. The role involves primarily mechanical work on gearboxes, bearings, shafts, pipes, pumps and welding as well as some work on hydraulics and pneumatics. The role will also be involved in some installation work as well as projects when required. The company run of a heavily preventative schedule with breakdown work occasionally occurring.
