Manufacturing Engineer (Production)

Luton

Circa £35,000 - £40,000 + BUPA Healthcare (after probation) + 5% Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays


7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am to 1.30pm Friday

Manufacturing Engineer (Production) required for a successful and well established electronics manufacturer serving a diverse customer base. The role will suit those looking for a varied and challenging role where you take ownership and have input in the manufacturing process.



To apply for the role candidates need to have experience in a production/manufacturing role in an electronics manufacturing environment. The role will particularly appeal to those who like to make improvements. Candidates need to be comfortable liaising with customers too.

You’ll be part of a team of manufacturing and lean engineers where you’ll be responsible for supporting production practices to ensure products are manufactured on time and to the correct specification. You’ll ensure correct equipment is in place, processes are being followed whilst suggesting any improvements. You’ll always look to reduce waste, create routes using ERP, develop SOP’s and assist in new product development activities. You’ll work closely with the shop floor, maintenance and other departments with the company.

The role in brief:

*Part of a team ensuring production processes are in place to ensure successful manufacturing

*Using ERP to create work flow.

*Get involved in LEAN activities

*Identify and suggest any improvements needed in capital kit

*Generally support the operatives and ensure all SOP’s are adhered too


The person required:


*Experience in a production/manufacturing role in a an electronics environment

*Ideally hold a relevant qualification

*Able to work along and in a team

*Improvements focussed and understand

*Able to read engineering drawings
