Manufacturing Engineer


£32,000 to £40,000 + 25 Days Holiday and Bank Holidays + Contributory Pension + Bonus + Health Care + Training

Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00

Manufacturing Engineer required for a leading manufacturing company who can offer an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of the process. You’ll receive a very competitive package with training and development opportunities.

The Manufacturing Engineer will need to have experience within a manufacturing environment in any improvement focussed role. You will need to be confident working independently and as part of a team to implement and drive new ideas. You will work closely with the Operations and Quality Improvements Manager to implement and affect change. Ideally candidates will have experience running Kaizen events to improve productivity.

The Manufacturing Engineering role will involve the analysis of current processes and the identifications of new and improved methods to increase efficiency. You will use techniques such as Die, 8D, 5y’s, Value Stream Mapping and other lean techniques to improve the current process. You will educate and train colleagues so new process can smoothly be introduced and constantly update processes to ensure production can be as efficient as possible.

This is a technically varied and analytical role and is an excellent opportunity for someone who is very interested in continuous improvements in a manufacturing environment.

The Role:

* Development and Improvement of the manufacturing process
* Working closely with the Operations and Quality Improvements Managers to implement new procedures

The Candidate:

* From any manufacturing/production background who have CI/lean experience
* Confident analysing existing process and making improvement to improve efficiency
