Materials Technician required for an innovative company who are currently designing, researching and developing a range of new products.
The successful candidate will hold a masters or equivalent in a scientific discipline, those from Materials or chemistry backgrounds will hold a strong advantage. You will be fully accustomed to working within a cleanroom environment and have experience with the likes of ALD, CVD, PVD and associated process equipment. Experience of electrical measurements, such as impedance and cyclic voltammetry would be highly advantageous, as would a background in Surface Science/Surface Chemistry.
The role itself sits within a lab/cleanroom, with responsibility for the safe and efficient running of the facility, including monitoring and ordering of consumables as required. Specifically, you will be working with thin films, assisting with experiment setup, using equipment such as PVD, CVD and ALD, taking measurements, collecting data, conducting analysis and writing reports.
