Principal Structural Engineer (Highways)



London/Slough/Brighton



£45,000 to £55,000 + 27 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Contributory Pension + Healthcare + Benefits + Training and Development



Principal Structural Engineer required for a quality focused civils company who are working on exciting projects across the UK. The company are undergoing and exciting period of growth so are requiring Structural Engineers of senior levels to join their team.



To apply for this role you will be a chartered engineer holding a Degree (or equivalent) in civil or structural engineering and with experience in a design related environment. You must have working knowledge of DMRB standards and hold experience working on bridges.



The successful candidate will be joining a growing department working on structural highway projects across the UK. Working closely with local authorities, you will work mainly on existing structures and will be responsible for ensuring that they are in line with DMRB standards by working closely with the inspection team. You will use software such as MIDAS and TEDDS to carry out analysis on the bridge structures to recommend what repairs/refurbishments are required.



You will also work on the development of new, conceptual designs. This will involve preparing calculations and writing reports to support the project but as a senior member of the team, you will hold additional responsibility over the preparation of bids and proposals.



You will be client facing and a key part of your role will be to develop relationships with new clients. You will ensure projects are delivered to client timescales and that quality and health and safety is at the forefront of this.



The company have offices in Central London, Slough and Brighton so the company are open to considering candidates looking to work from any of these locations.
