Product Test Engineer

Buckingham

£28,000 to £35,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Significant Development Opportunities

Monday to Thursday, 8.45am to 5.30pm, Fridays early finish 4.30pm

Product Test Engineer required for a growing manufacturer of electronic system devices within the Automotive industry. The company have great opportunities for training and further development in a varied position within a personable team environment.

The Successful Product Test Engineer can be from a variety of backgrounds. Those with a Degree in Software or Electronics (or equivalent) with testing experience are encouraged to apply. Those also from a Product Software testing background would also transfer well.

You will need strong communication and organisation skills due to the nature of the planning, admin and project liaison aspects of this position. You will be required to drive with this role to carry out on site testing. Any previous hardware testing would be advantageous, although training will be provided.

The Product Test Engineer:

* 50/50 split between planning (administration, project liaison etc..) and product testing.
* 70/30 split between testing in the office and manual testing in the airfield.
* Manual testing will involve driving company cars on the airfield.
* Office testing will involve testing software, firmware, hardware and applications (Although training will be provided for skills gaps).
* Monitor, evaluate and measure the progress of testing tasks.
* Liaising between Development & Design team, Management, Sales & marketing and Applications.
* Create and maintain product test sheets/logs.
* Contributing to project planning, and create product testing strategies.
* Create and deliver reports to evaluate product and project success.
