Pudsey, Leeds

£35,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Death in Service + Bupa

Monday to Thursday, 8.15am to 5pm. Fridays Early Finish 12.45.

Production Manager required for a bespoke manufacturer of industrial electro-mechanical products. This a pivotal role for the business. This is a chance to join a personable business that offer a great deal of stability.

The Successful Production Manager will have a strong background of Manufacturing Operations with proven leadership experience. Those from an engineering/fabrication/assembly related background will be at a significant advantage. Having an HND in Mechanical Engineering, NEBOSH/IOSH or Prince 2 will be significantly advantageous. You will have a drive for Continuous Improvement across production.

This varied and technically challenging role offers the successful applicant the chance to really drive change and put your stamp on the role.

The Production Manager Role:

* Creating production schedules, ensuring targets are achieved, delivered on time and within budget.
* Focus on cost saving activities within production and CI.
* Ensure the appropriate resources are in place for production to run effectively.
* Liaising with Quality to ensure the best outputs and quality is achieved.
* Assessing equipment usage to ensure best running of production, including maintenance, modification and new installations.
* Leading and motivating Supervisors and other direct reports.
* Identifying training needs within the business.
* Ensuring efficient communication and liaising between design, purchasing and management.
* Writing and implementing SOP’s.
* Lead H&S initiatives and ensure guidelines are being followed.

The Successful Production Manager:
