Production Shift Manager

Newport, Shropshire

Circa £45,000 + Holiday + Pension

3 Shift Pattern, 8 Hour Shifts.

Production Shift Manager required for a successful and growing food manufacturer who are investing heavily in their site. The company offer long term job stability with a high level of responsibility.

The role would suit applicants from a production management background within a food manufacturing industry. Applicants must hold HACCP Level 2 or equivalent as a minimum. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and will ideally be IOSH/NEBOSH qualified.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the prefill area and team and to ensure production is safe and efficient. You will have complete operational performance accountability for your department. You will implement and maintenance key performance drivers and you will ultimately be responsible for performance management including training/development, appraisals and disciplinaries. You will also have budgetary responsibilities.

The Role:

*Complete operational performance accountability for your area

*Management and overall responsibility of a team of up to 30 employees including training, recruitment, disciplinaries and appraisals.

*Ensuring production is timely, safe and cost effective as well as to quality standards.

*Implementing and maintaining KPI’s

*Budget responsibility

*3 Shift Pattern. 8 hour Shifts (5 on, 2 off)

The Person:

*Must be from a food production/manufacturing background

*Must have good leadership skills

*Will ideally have HACCP Level 2 or equivalent as a minimum

*Will ideally be IOSH/NEBOSH qualified
