Pump Engineer required for an industry leading company within the sewage and waste water industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation who truly value the technical development of their staff. To apply for this role you will ideally be a multi-skilled Field Service Engineer although candidates of either mechanical or electrical bias are encouraged to apply. You will ideally have experience within a waste water management, however, this is NOT essential and mechanically biased candidates from any background working with pumps are encouraged to apply. Electrically biased candidates with experience of control panels are also welcome to apply as pump training can be provided.
The successful candidate will spend around 80% of their time carrying out planned maintenance on private pumping stations and sewage treatment plants. You will be expected to inspect the systems, diagnose any issues and record/carry out any preventative work that needs to be done. You will work with pumps, control systems, motors and drives.
The other 20% of your time will spent carrying out repair work to breakdowns. You will be a part of call out rota which will involve you being on call one week in four however you will be paid a stand by rate and actual call out is very rare.
You will be responsible for covering the Southern area, covering from Bristol, Somerset to as far south as Southampton. You will primarily work from home and a company van will be provided.
