Quality Engineer (H&S Responsibility)

Pudsey, Leeds

£35,000 to £40,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Death in Service + Bupa

(Flexi Time, 37.5 hours) - Core Hours Monday to Thursday, 10am to 3pm. Fridays Early Finish 12.45.

Quality Engineer required for a bespoke manufacturer of industrial electro-mechanical products. This position is a cross functional role, working between all departments within the business and some customer/supplier liaison.

The successful Quality Engineer will have previous experience within a similar role within the Electrical, Utilities, Manufacturing or Construction industry. Those with experience within other sectors are also encouraged to apply. You will need to have IOSH certification, although those with NEBOSH would be at an advantage. You will need to be able to produce QHSE related reports, can conduct QHSE internal surveys, investigations and audits.

The Quality Engineer:

* Maintaining and improving where required company integrated Quality, Environmental & Health and Safety Management systems to ISO9001, 14001 and OHSAS18001 externally audited standards, including and assessing the company Quality Control Plan.
* Carry out supplier Quality checks, via checklist standards.
* Conducting/Organising H&S training, toolbox talks and inductions.
* Keeping records of inspection/investigation findings and produce reports to suggest improvements.
* Overseeing the writing and updating of SOP’s.
* Carrying out risk assessments.
* Carry out regular checks of policies and procedures and that they are being properly implemented.

The Successful Quality Engineer:
