Quality Manager

£35,000 + 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension


Quality Manager required for a growing global company that is expanding into new international markets. Operating to a high quality level, this an excellent opportunity to enjoy an autonomous role where you will be an integral member of the team and add value.

The successful candidate will come from a steelworks, fabrication background and will have experience of working to ISO 9001/14001 standard. Knowledge of EN1090 is highly desirable. Quality Managers with experience of root cause analysis, 5S and 8d reports are invited to apply. It is important you have demonstrable experience implementing lean and continuous improvement. Quality Engineers with the relevant knowledge looking for a step up should also apply.

The role itself will involve overseeing ALL aspects of quality. You will be accountable for implementing and improving quality processes. You will maintain the ISO 9001/14001 standards and work with key stakeholders within the business to implement EN1090 across the site. As Quality Manager you will be accountable for internal and external audits and have one direct report. Documentation of all processes will also be required as the company’s goods are distributed internationally and traceability is essential.

You will be responsible for using structured problem solving and quality risk management tools such as 8D to carry out root cause analysis and will be responsible for generating technical reports documenting investigations and actions taken.

The Quality Manager role:

* Working to ISO9001 + 14001, and implementing EN1090

* Primarily office based and interaction with the shop floor when required.

The Quality Manager:

* From a fabrication/welding background

* Understanding of ISO9001/4001, EN1090 desirable

* Experience using lean and continuous improvement techniques
