Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Plymouth

£35,000 to £38,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Company Pension + Benefits

Senior Manufacturing Engineer required for a highly successful manufacturer offering ongoing career development and training.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer role will suit candidates from any mechanical engineering backgrounds who have experience in an improvement focused role including working with lean principles such as six sigma. You will have experience working with an ERP system, ideally SAP, and will have knowledge of machine programming and sheet metal manufacturing. As a senior member of the team, you will have leadership experience.

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will manage engineering activities and will work on NPI projects, new machinery integration and existing machinery improvement projects with a view to constantly improve processes and ensure the sustainability of world class status within the companies’ field.

The role will involve working on process developments for new and existing products within sheet metal and this will include CNC programming press tools and press brakes. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining the ERP system, including BOMs, Routings and Master Data. You’ll support design reviews, linking to DFMEA and PFMEA and take a lead role within meetings to ensure manufacturing processes are considered at design phase.
