Senior Process Engineer (Manufacturing / Engineering)

Plymouth

£42,000 to £46,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance 3x Annual Salary + Pension 5% Matched + Company bonus based on attendance, productivity, and quality + Company discount scheme and Westfield health.

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (Flexible working, core hours to be covered). Core Hours: 9am – 3pm Mon-Thurs and 9am – 2pm on Friday.

Senior Process Engineer required for a highly successful manufacturer offering ongoing career development. This is a great opportunity to join a company who dominate their market as leaders with excellence at the heart of what they do.

The Senior Process Engineer Role:

  • Monitoring and analysing process performance, implementing improvements to maximise productivity, performance, and quality while minimising waste.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, performance, and quality, reduce repetitive operator tasks, and minimise waste.
  • Lead and manage projects focused on improving production processes, productivity, and output through lean manufacturing principles.
  • Introduce new technologies and equipment to support lean manufacturing objectives.
  • Implement layout changes to optimise production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other process engineers and departments to introduce new products.
  • Design jigs and fixtures, conduct Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and ensure smooth NPI implementation.
  • Create and maintain all process-related documents for the designated area, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), equipment setup instructions, tool changeover procedures, and tool/jig/fixture registers.

The Successful Senior Process Engineer:

  • You will hold an HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • You will be an effective communicator with Managers, colleagues, contractors.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills with a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. As well as process implementation.
  • Those with experience or knowledge of DFMEA and PFMEA will be at an advantage.
  • Any experience in coatings, paint line or similar roles, will be highly advantageous.
