Service and Installation Engineer (Mechanical)
Yeovil covering a Southern patch
£28,000 to £35,000 per annum + Company Van + Tools + Lunch Provided Every Day on Site + Company Bonus Scheme + 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Service and Installation Engineer (Mechanical) required for a successful service provider. This is a great opportunity to work in a varied role where you will can take pride in your day to day work knowing you’re providing an exceptional service.
The successful candidate will be a mechanically biased engineer. You can be from any hands on construction background that has required you to inspect, service and maintain products including roofers, metal workers, Multi skilled tradespeople, site engineers etc. Any experience working with safety equipment such as Gantries, Walkway installations, height safety equipment etc. will be highly advantageous but not essential. You will ideally hold a CSCS card and have a good working knowledge of building regulations.
Your role will be split between the installation (approx. 30%) and inspection (approx. 70%) of construction safety equipment. You will be primarily field based covering around a three hour radius of Yeovil visiting a number of construction and facilities maintenance sites with each day being different! You will be client facing and working on a variety of mechanical equipment including safety line systems, fixed ladders, abseil anchors and guard rails ensuring that they are fit for client purpose and adhere to regulation standards.

* Approximately 70% Inspection and maintenance of preinstalled products.
* Approximately 30% installation of construction safety equipment.
* Covering a patch around a 3 hour radius of Yeovil.

The Service and Installation Engineer:
* Mechanically biased engineer.
* Experienced in a transferrable hands on construction background.
* Knowledge of metal work/ fabrication highly desired.
* Ideally holds a CSCS Card.
* Strong problem solver and able to think outside the box to tackle new challenges.
