Service Engineer (Medical Equipment)

South East Territory - London

£30,000 to £34,000 + Overtime (Paid at time and a half) + Company Car (Audi/BMW) + Fuel Card + Bonus + Company Pension + Private Health + Training + Expenses

Service Engineer required for a leading global provider of medical products. The role will suit an ambitious professional seeking a position that offers extensive training and fantastic benefits.

The successful candidate will come from any service or maintenance background. You will have strong mechanical and electrical skills. Previous experience mechanically on strip down and rebuilding of machinery and electrically have past knowledge of work on three phase fault finding and motors.

The role will involve carrying out maintenance on sterile equipment including disinfectors. Previous experience in this is not required as full training can be given. The role entails both pre-planned and reactive maintenance of the medical devices at client sites across the south east. The role consists of both mechanical and electrical service work. Mechanically primarily strip down and re-work and rebuild, electrically you will be working on basic components and three phase motors. You will be based from home covering the south east, primarily London. You will be provided with a company car which is usually an Audi/BMW. Considerable effort is made to keep you commutable. On occasions you may be required to stay away in which all allowances are covered. You will be servicing medical equipment in hospitals, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies. Overtime will be available in the week and at weekends, paid at premium rates.

You will also be expected to complete in numerous overseas training days in Sweden. This allows you to be fully up to speed on the companies’ machinery and you will stay away for 3-4 days at a time.

The Role:

* Servicing & testing medical equipment such as sterile equipment, autoclaves and washers/disinfectors

* Working within Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals factories and medical testing centres

* Only very occasional stay away

* Full internal training and overseas training on specialist machinery

* Happy travelling across the South East
