Service Engineer (Agricultural Machinery)

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

£30,000 to £35,000 + Overtime + Callout + Van + Benefits

Service Engineer sought for a growing agricultural machinery brand offering long term secure employment, overtime and on call earning potential.

The role will be suited to engineers with transferable industry skills or direct agricultural machinery experience. Those from construction plant, materials handling/forklifts, HGV or forces engineers from heavy mobile plant/heavy armoured vehicle backgrounds or similar will be considered for the role.

The Service Engineer position will be a mix of workshop and field based activity on a full range of agricultural machinery. You will carry out PDI and repair work in the workshop and attend to breakdown calls and planned service of machinery when working at customer locations. There will be regular opportunities to earn overtime especially now as we are approaching the summer season. You will take part in an on-call rota with standby payments and call out payments at overtime rates.

As a dealer of many main agricultural brands you will gain a broad exposure to a vast range of machinery and depending on your experience will acquire further skills and experience or simply be able to put all of your experience to use.

The role:

* A mix of workshop and field based activity on a full range of agricultural machinery from a mix of manufacturers.
* Travel as required to customer locations carrying out repair to breakdowns and planned service activity.
* Complete PDI and general repair work in the workshop when not on field based work.

The Person Required:

* An experienced engineer with either direct agricultural industry experience or transferable skills from construction, materials handling, forklifts, HGV or ex-forces engineering backgrounds.
