Service Engineer required for a small, but well established engineering company who provide agricultural services to local companies. This is an excellent role for someone to learn a wide range of equipment in a Kent based service and workshop role.
The Service Engineer role will suit candidates from any background who have experience working on engines, hydraulics, electrics and welding. Ideally candidate will have some agricultural experience, however this is not essential as training can be provided on the machinery. You will predominately spend winter months at the company workshop and spring and summer months out on customers’ sites (agricultural environments) in Kent and Essex, so you will need to be comfortable working outdoors.
The Service Role is predominantly mechanical, with some electrical maintenance on all types of agricultural equipment including self-propelled harvesters, sprayers, irrigation, planters and associated equipment. You will work in a small team to repair all faults including welding and manufacture of new parts. This will be a varied role with ongoing in house training on the various machinery you will be working on. The right person would be forward thinking and enjoys problem solving.
* Site and workshop maintenance of agricultural equipment
* Predominantly mechanical maintenance with some electrical work
*Overtime paid at premium rates
* Have experience with agricultural equipment, or a willingness to learn from existing engines/hydraulics/electrics experience
* Comfortable working in outdoor environments
