£25,000 to £35,000 DOE + 5 Weeks Holiday + Bank Holidays + Contributory Pension

8:15am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 1pm Friday Finish

Applications Engineer or a Technical Sales Engineer looking to move into an Applications Engineer role required for a leading manufacturer within their industry. This role would suit someone from an applications/technical sales background or someone with a base mechanical or chemical engineering knowledge looking for the first step in their career. This role offers product specific training and long term development opportunities.

To apply for this role you must have a basic mechanical engineering understanding, for example, an understanding of volumes, pressures and flow rates. You can from ANY background however candidates with a background in the oil and gas industry will hold a considerable advantage.

The successful Applications Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical bids and standard quotations in response to client enquiries. This will come through both online emails and through the external sales team however you will be in direct communication with customers also.
Within the role you will be responsible for understanding the application of the equipment as you will be responsible for selecting the most suitable products for the customer. This will be a combination of looking at the company’s standard ranges and how they may need to be tailored by liaising with manufacturing and design teams.

The Role:

* Office based
* Preparing technical bids and standard quotations
* Liaising directly with customers

The Person:

* Understanding of mechanical engineering principles including measuring volumes, pressures, flow rates
* ANY engineering background – ideally oil and gas
