Job Description:

Mechanical Fitter / Welder Fabricator (Maintenance)

Cinderford, Gloucestershire

£30,000 per annum + Overtime, Sat and Sun paid at 1.5 x base rate + on call and Call out payments.

Monday to Friday DAYS, rotating between 6am to 3pm and 9:30am to 6:30pm, this may vary to suit the needs of the business.

Mechanical Fitter / Welder fabricator with a mechanical bias sought for a renowned food producer offering long term job security and full training and development where needed.

The role will be suited to mechanical engineers from ANY engineering or ex-forces environment. You will be working predominantly on mechanical fault rectification and planned maintenance while on shift. The work will be split evenly for most of the time between welding, fabrication, general mechanical maintenance and repair, MIG and TIG welding skills ideally suited.

This is a red meat processing facility. You will work in all sections of the facility from the slaughter hall, boning hall and other associated stages of the process, you will work as part of a team of 6 engineering staff.

The role in brief:

* Mechanically biased welding, fabrication, maintenance and reactive breakdown cover on a full range of meat processing machinery and packing equipment

* Work a varying day shift pattern on a rotating basis, 40 hours per week + Overtime.

The Person required:

* Experienced welder fabricator and mechanical fitter from any engineering background

* Formal engineering qualifications ideal but not essential as full training can be provided for the right person.
