Mechanical Design Engineer

Northampton

£35,000 - £55,000 (Depending on Experience) + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Overtime + Private Healthcare After Probation

Monday to Friday 40 Hours

Mechanical Design Engineer required for a successful design and manufacturing company. The role will suit those looking for a varied role in a reputable business.

To apply for the role candidates need mechanical design experience. You need a good understanding of thermodynamics and sheet metal fabrication.

Based at the factory in Northampton, you will design and modify sheet metal assemblies, boilers, combustion chambers, conveyors and silos using Autodesk Inventor. You will work closely with fabrication and installation teams to ensure products are meet the specifications. You will visit customer sites for surveys and commissioning, a pool van will be available.

The Mechanical Design Engineer Role in Brief:

* Design and modify sheet-metal assemblies, boilers, combustion chambers, conveyors and silos
* Modify existing assemblies for customer installation and layouts
* Work closely with associated teams
* Visit customer sites for surveys and commissioning when needed

The Mechanical Design Engineer Required:

* Mechanical design background
* 3D CAD Package, ideally Autodesk Inventor
* Sheet metal fabrication understanding
* Willing to travel to customer sites occasionally
